Starting as a graduate at Saatchi & Saatchi takes your career to a whole new level of experience, responsibility and challenge. Saatchi & Saatchi offers one to two positions a year for a graduate to enter the agency through the CAANZ internship program. The program provides an entry point as an Account Executive to work on some of the most influential businesses in New Zealand such as Toyota, ASB and Heineken.

 

As a Saatchi & Saatchi CAANZ graduate part of your nine-month internship involves an academic placement in the CAANZ AUT Foundation Course. The CAANZ/AUT University Foundations of Advertising and Media Programme is

a comprehensive course which covers the fundamentals of the advertising and media agency world.

 

The course is now regarded as one of the most valuable and effective courses for those with fewer than three years’ experience. The course will be underpinned academically by AUT University and is supported with presentations and case studies from industry experts and leaders.

 

On a practical level, Saatchi & Saatchi graduates work within advertising or multi-service agencies, acting as a link between clients and the agency. One great aspect about being a graduate at Saatchi & Saatchi is that you have real hands-on experience right from the moment you start.

 

From the first day, graduates are responsible for:

  • The coordination of real advertising campaigns.

  • Meeting and liaising with clients to discuss and identify their advertising requirements.

  • Working with agency colleagues to devise an advertising campaign that meets the client’s brief and budget, in turn presenting these campaigns alongside agency colleagues.

 

Advertising is not for the faint-hearted. The work is challenging but for the brave, it will be a defining moment in their career with endless opportunities.
